NaturalSoft

This company provides a free version of its text reader as well as a paid version. This company offers package deals that include natural sounding computer voices at wonderful prices. They also have a great tutorial on what the program can actually do. Take time to watch their short video tutorials. They will give you excellent and practical ideas on how to use this text to speech software. The tutorials are towards the bottom of their homepage.

 ReadPlease2003

ReadPlease reader software is a free version that never expires.  The voices are robotic but do the job very well!  I have used this program to proofread my work over the years. This free program does not play the more natural sounding voices  even if you have purchased additional ones and installed them.

 NextUp.com

NextUp speech reader is very inexpensive and offers many of the human sounding voices.

This program is for purchase but they offer a trial. All these programs and their voices are very reasonably priced.

 Zero2000.com

This software is the easiest text to speech program to use.   It is wonderful and allows most of all of the premium human voices to work on its software.  If you have to buy a program I would purchase this one and add the voice from NeoSpeech called "PAUL".  You can purchase "Paul" at the NaturalSoft Company above. Paul is the most natural sounding computer voice ever created. Most of the voices are no more than $30 USD each!

This program is for purchase but they offer a trial.
