 The text of the Catechism and other Church documents have been made into audio recordings to assist individuals with reading disabilities and to provide busy individuals an opportunity to hear the riches of the Church's teachings on their computers or portable audio players.  There is absolutely no charge, registration, or donations required to hear the audio files on this website.  Enjoy!

The recordings on this website may contain imperfections in pronunciation. This is due in part to the voice synthesis technology required to develop the recordings. It is recommended that you follow the original text of the documents as you hear them read to you.  Citations and other footnote characters were omitted from the recordings in order to create a more pleasant and natural listening experience. No words or paragraphs of the documents were added, paraphrased, changed or omitted.

Please use the Internet Explorer browser on a Windows based PC.  When you use Internet Explorer, a window with the text of the Catechism will conveniently open on the left side of your screen.  This feature is helpful because it will allow you to read the text of the Catechism while you hear the audio corresponding to the text.

The audio on this website may be heard using any MP3 player.  The Media Player, that came factory installed with your PC, should be enough to play these files.  The Audio of any given paragraph can be heard by clicking on the MP3 buttons.

There is no charge, fee, or registration required to listen to the Catechism on this website. Simply click on the MP3 buttons and the files will play on the MP3 player installed in your computer.

The technology and functions on this website are very standard.  Most computers should have no problems viewing and listening to the files on this website.

Some audio files on this site are large.  Avoid having other programs open while visiting this website. This will help your computer use all of its resources to play the audio files. These files were developed to play on all internet speeds.  A DSL or Cable internet connection will play the files instantly.  A V90 dialup modem should play the Catechism files with little or no cut-off.  V90 modems are older models not capable of loading internet files as quickly as V92 modems.  Using a V92 modem connected to a V92 dial-up access number will insure a constant and uninterrupted stream of the recordings.  Type, "V92 modem technology" in your favorite search engine to find out more information on this technology.
